Who? Lou!

Howdy! I’m Louisa (she/her) and I am a writer and filmmaker based out of Rochester, NY. Currently, I am finishing my MFA thesis in Screenwriting at RIT. I’ve worked on over twenty short films including writing and directing several of my own. In 2024, I was a finalist for the Coca Cola Refreshing Films program with my short “How’ The View?” which screened nationwide in AMC theaters. When not writing, you can often find me in the Art Department helping bring the vision to life.

My goal as a story teller is to make people smile and inspire them to live truthfully as themselves. Prior to filmmaking, I lived many lives working as a nurse, clown, librarian, psychic and more. With bachelor’s degrees in Theatre and Mass Communications, I went on to a career in production management where I managed a performing arts center. My journey has been built on living unapologetically as myself. And there’s no other field I would rather work in because the only limit is what you can imagine.

If you need a script to make you laugh and cry at the same time, or an extra hand for your Art Department, I’m your gal!
